Integrative Health Care & Wellness
Morgan Integrative Health uses an evidence-based approach to treat the whole person — your mind, body and soul. Physical, emotional, mental and spiritual needs are all involved, using a combination of therapies. It “integrates” conventional approaches and complementary therapies to achieve optimal health and healing.
The origins of medicine are deeply rooted in a civilization’s culture and spiritual beliefs. Often, educated priests practiced medicine. Early medicine dealt with experiences, observations, and reflections of the self and one’s surroundings. There was no separation of mind and body.
This optimal health and healing or “whole person health” improves and restores health in multiple interconnected domains —biological, behavioral, social, environmental — rather than just treating a disease or ailment. At Morgan Integrative Health our approach to health care is an individualized, client-centered model of promoting optimal health and wellness, combining a whole person approach with evidence-based strategies to reduce disease risk by turning around lifestyle behaviors.
Primary Health Care & Wellness
We will all experience pain at some point in our life – physical and/or emotional discomfort caused by illness, injury, or an upsetting event. Pain, however, is not meant to last for a long time. Morgan Primary Health provides health care across the life span offering preventative care, chronic ailment management and promoting self-care.
Family Friendly Primary Health Care. Quality care & treatment for the whole family, at one convenient location. We take time to get to know our patients and tailor care to individual needs, distinguished by good communication, respectful patient education, and support.
Taking care of your physical body for optimal health through movement, nourishment, rest and healthy choices. This will help you get through the stress that comes with life. Physical wellness is the ability to maintain a healthy quality of life that allows us to get the most out of our daily activities without undue fatigue or physical stress. Physical wellness means living responsibly and taking care of your body, and recognizing that our daily habits and behaviors have a significant impact on our overall health, wellness and quality of life.
Adopting healthful habits (i.e. a balanced diet, regular movement or physical activity, adequate sleep, routine health checks etc.) while avoiding or minimizing destructive habits (i.e. tobacco, drugs, alcohol, unsafe sex, etc.) will lead to optimal physical wellness and reduced risk of preventable chronic illness.
At Morgan Mental Health Care, our licensed Mental Health Professionals specialize in a wide variety of mental health concerns and provide individual, couple, family, and group counseling for all ages. Counselors and therapists that are trauma based and specialize in helping with a wide variety of mental health concerns including anxiety, depression, PTSD, grief, addiction, bipolar, ADHD, autism, mood disorders, and the daily stress of life.
“Mental health” and “mental illness” are increasingly being used as if they mean the same thing, however they do not. Everyone has mental health, just like everyone has health. In the course of a lifetime, not all people will experience a mental disorder or illness, but everyone will struggle or have a challenge with their mental wellness (i.e., their mental health) just like we all have challenges with our physical wellness from time to time.
Similar to someone who feels unwell but may not have a serious illness, people may have poor mental health without a mental illness. We all have days where we feel a bit down, or stressed out, or overwhelmed by something that’s happening in our lives. An important part of good mental health is the ability to look at concerns and issues realistically. Good mental health isn’t about feeling happy and confident 100% of time and ignoring any problems. It’s about living and coping well despite your concerns and issues.
Professionals who provide guidance, support, and treatment for mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders or obstacles are generally classified under four terms: social workers, counselors, therapists, and psychologists. Some of these terms are used interchangeably in conversation, though they are not technically the same. We offer confidential mental health and psychiatric services including counseling, therapy, groups, psychological evaluations and more.
